edit: why? because of two reasons:
1. scratch is a game engine, not an animation engine. flash is very versatile and it's less clunky to make work in

2. it allows for a lot of good quality features, such as importing bitmaps at original resolution - something scratch is incapable of. it's really gonna up the quality of your animations once you get used to it.

it's fun - here are some things you can improve
- fix embed aspect ratio (embedded as 1:1 but the game is 16:9)
- menu cursor isn't the best, please try to fix it (the top selects it, not the middle)
- add sound effects
- add more ui elements in-game (deaths, time, etc)

and most importantly:
- add more incentive to play the game - something more enticing and something that drags the player into a fun experience

but still, great work and i like the stuff!
